 Nicholas trained at the Guildhall, winning the BBC Carleton Hobbs Award in 1993. He has since been heard extensively on BBC Radio, including: Captain Plume in THE RECRUITING OFFICER , Lieutenant Clark in OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD, Boy McLaren in Be PREPARED with Sir Ian McKellan, William Chandos in SHE FELL AMONG THIEVES, Lord Silverbridge in THE PALLISERS, Gerald Scales in THE OLD WIVES' TALE, Benjamin Britten in OUR KATH, Tony in A TOUCH OF MISTLETOE, Freddy Parkhomenko in STALINGRAD KISS and Octavius Caesar in ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA. Most recently he read PENGUINS STOPPED PLAY by Harry Thompson for Radio 4's Book of the Week.
Theatre work includes: Jack Absolute in THE RIVALS (Theatre Royal Bath national tour), Hortensio in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Thelma Holt national tour), Dali in HYSTERIA(Salisbury Playhouse), Kiril in PLATONOV(Almeida), Marc in M.
